*Back For A Few Words.
ok i'm back. just for a while. but still, i'm back! i've been having fun with freakinlyMINE and Obscure Phionix. i have to say that on the 19th of August, will be Obscure Phionix's last performance due to the upcoming fasting month and National Service for three out of five of us (Sudarman, Hafiz and myself). well, it's been a great year for Obscure Phionix and we'll continue rocking. until we can book out. haha. yeah. since the coming of Shah, the Sessions!05 gig got us started. thanks to Ary and Yan of ModusOperandi. we've been having lots of gigs since then. and to think we got to perform in Metalgodz on 6th August. that's cool dudes. the opportunity for our passion and love of music has set us going and we're still going strong. since then, i've been blessed with the company and friendships of the various bands in the scene. those who i call scenemates. of course, mostly from the metal genre. we support metal! yes, we can be versatile but this is the sounds of metal keep us alive. we are not saying that we only listen to metal. have you seen the people i've been with? they go to metal gigs and mosh like crazy assed junkies and at the end of it, they will turn up their N-Gage or mp3 players to the sounds of Rihanna or Pussycat Dolls. to all those who don't understand metal and says metal sucks or whatever, FUCK OFF. keep to your own genre and stop bullshitting about other genres. we have never spoken badly about another genre and don't intend to. and to tell you the truth, we don't hate the genre. we hate the PERSON who says such things.
well. since i've been gone lots of thing have happened. just yesterday i went over to Dunman to watch a concert where the teachers were performing. it was good. never seen freakinlyMINE so wild and crazy. oh yeah. that jazz guitar one of the teacher's were using. I WANT IT. haha. maybe some other time. i'm currently saving to buy a new guitar. should be ESP / LTD / Jackson. maybe Ibanez. who knows.
also, i've grouped together a handful of metal enthusiasts to form a side-project for myself by the name of Macabre Grandeur (pronounced "muh-ka-bra gran-jur"). consisting of my cousin Latiff on drums, my secondary school "cabut-mate" Faizal on rhythm guitars, good friend Zana on bass, my bro Khair a.k.a. Nokz on lead and myself on vocals. still we're trying to find another vocalist to help us sing clean. currently we haven't started to jam but all of us have learnt all the songs.
okay, i've been asked to do this by freakinlyMINE. "write a blog with 6 weird facts/things/habits about yourself".
1. this is my biggest HABIT ever. whenever i listen to music i would do such things like headbang / air guitar / air drumming / double pedal-ing my feet. without a doubt. and i bet those near me notice that too.
2. i have a phobia to talk to the female species. that's right. sometimes even to those i know so well. been there for a the longest time i know. no wonder i'm a LOSER eh?
3. i have a phobia of heights. yes. i do. i hate heights. i'm even afraid of climbing the third step of a normal ladder.
4. i'm very sarcastic. believe me, only Latiff and Faizal know how much of sarcasm i can dish out in a single minute.
5. i like to imagine. ALOT. yes. in a way, i love to create stories. once i did try to make a whole series of "anime" script. ended up making one episode and had no idea how to continue to the next one.
6. i'm currently pushing myself to make a company. yes, weird. but i have this dream to create a music studio which includes jamming rooms, a stage (for performances/gigs) and lounge area. but still i want to be involved in doing organising of gigs and such. my dream? reachable. but weird.
ok i've done that. so, i'll be back soon buddies.
insanely yours,
Qhai.
