A LONG TIME WAITING; SENSELESS RANTINGS.
For how long was i away? More than i should have, i suppose. In a few weeks i'll be entering Tekong to serve the nation. My newest entry comes with a new skin. Simple, easy and quick. So let's start a few topics, shall we?
I've been entering Habbo Hotel Singapore (www.habbo.com.sg) for quite a while now. Think of this, little kids (aged 9 to 12) playing this so-called game/chat site have been creating "gangs". Yes, you heard me. Let me play out a scene with this certain kid.
Kid: "Do you have a gang?"
Me: "No. Not interested."
Kid: "Please join."
Me: "I don't believe in gang warfare. It's stupid."
Kid: "WHAT YOU SAY?"
Me: "Gang. Warfare. Is. Stupid."
Kid: "You join or i'll call my gang to beat you up!"
Me: "Wow."
Then i pressed the ignore button. Others can see what he was typing but i could not. Why? Cause i ignored him. Think of this people: You are in a virtual game, then you say that you are going to beat me up in that virtual game. Isn't it stupid? I wonder how these kids survive in real life. So far i've seen "gangs" named "Salakau", "G-Unit", "Black Dragon", etc. What the hell are they thinking? So those other kids in Habbo, take this advice: If someone is bothering you and you can't take it anymore, ignore. You can and will get banned if you curse or create problems within the game server. Remember that Habbo is "rated E" game/chat site to make friends.
Recently, i experienced something that's really really...stupid and senseless. If you are blogging or talking about a certain someone whom you do not want to disclose, then a few days later after news has spread or whatever, someone comes by to you and starts cursing you because they think that you're talking about him/her. Doesn't this explain that this "someone" is guilty of what you have just said? Now this "someone" continues hitting back at you and e-mailing you and cursing. Isn't it already obvious that this "someone" is really guilty? Haha. This is really stupid. This "someone" denies all that you've said but isn't the way he/she is reacting to your blog or conversation a little too personal? His/her guilt has been kept secret but now, even you know what this person has done. This is the flaw of those who are a little proud of their lives. Or in other cases, the flaw of most malay citizens here in Singapore and/or around the world. Yes, i agree that the respect for the malay race in Singapore has dwindled. And i bet even you, who's reading this now, know it but refuse to own up. I'm not saying that i haven't done any mistakes in my life. I have my own demons to face and my own battles to fight. And, of course being in a band (two bands - for that matter), stages to conquer.
Our race have gone through lots of hardships in the past, even now. In the past, most of the time we are the ones who will come up top. But now? The disgrace by matreps, minahreps, skinheads, punks and even those underground malay gangs have gone to another level. The Esplanade was supposed to be a place where everyone could relax and chill. Yet, there were fights happening. For example, skinheads vs punks and gangsters vs skinheads. What is this? A war within our own race? We're supposed to support each other not fight against ourselves. Yet, at this time, we managed to have Taufik Batisah as our first Singapore Idol and our second Singapore Idol Hady Mirza. Doesn't this reveal who we really are? Winners in everyway.
This is only a taste of what i'm coming back with. I'll be back with more. More of me and my senseless rantings.
insanely yours,
Qhai.
